History

Malleshpalya, also known as Malleshappanapalya, is a residential locality in Bangalore Urban near to the old HAL airport and ISRO, ISAC center. It comes under New Thippsandra Post since it is served by the Thippasandra Post Office on Thippasandra Main Road. It is bounded on the west by Thippasandra, east by Vignan Nagar, South East by Basavanagar, South by a vast tract of BEML land, where BEML sometimes tests its ultra-heavy vehicles, North by Kaggadasapura and T.Narayanpura (after the Railway Gate), north-west by Sir. C.V.Raman Nagar.

In olden times (before 2000 A.D.), Malleshpalya was a peripheral location in Bangalore. The bus connectivity from the main city was also low. People had to source most of their household needs from Thippasandra or sometimes even from the far away Shivaji Nagar Market.

Times have changed. It is a now bustling location with all kinds of amenities and a nearby Tech Park (2 km) as well. Recently, beautiful wall paintings have given a good aura to Malleshpalya Main Road which looks much more beautiful.
